1. What this is

AsterOS is a moderation and community management bot built for the AsterNullbyte Discord server. It is not a commercial product. It is not available to the general public. It exists here, it does its job here, and that is the extent of it.

By being in this server and interacting with AsterOS, you are agreeing to these terms. If that does not work for you, you know where the door is.

2. What it actually does

AsterOS handles the operational side of keeping this community running. That includes:

Moderation actions: ban, unban, kick, warn, timeout, purge, lockdown
Automated moderation: onboarding verification, link filtering for new members, and automatic escalation when warning thresholds are reached
A support ticket system for when you need to talk to a human
Social notifications for Twitch, YouTube, Twitter/X, and TikTok
Economy and community engagement features
Logging ban records to the public safety database at asternullbyte.xyz/bans, which is explained in a moment

3. The public ban database

If you are banned from this server, a record of that ban may be published to the public database at asternullbyte.xyz/bans. To be clear about what this is and what it is not:

It is a free, publicly viewable registry. The people it is primarily useful for are other creators and community moderators who want to review evidence before deciding whether to let someone into their own spaces. It exists in the interest of accountability, not as a tool to harass or pile on anyone.

What gets published and how is covered in full in the Privacy Policy. The short version: evidence is reviewed before it goes up, unaffiliated parties are anonymized, and personal information is removed.

4. What you cannot do

Do not use AsterOS, or any feature of this server, to target, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Do not use it in ways that violate Discord's Terms of Service. The spirit of this matters more than a strict reading of the letter. I reserve the right to use my judgment accordingly.

5. No guarantees

AsterOS is a community project. It is provided as-is. Features can change, break, or disappear. I do not promise any specific uptime or availability. If something stops working, that is an unfortunate reality of running community tooling, not a breach of contract.
