When a moderation action is taken, AsterOS logs the following:
That is the complete list. AsterOS does not collect message content, email addresses, IP addresses, or payment information. It does not have access to any of that and it does not want it.
Moderation logs exist to maintain a record of actions taken within this community. They are used by the moderation team to track history, review patterns, and make informed decisions.
Data is not sold. Data is not shared with third parties for any commercial purpose. Full stop.
If you are banned, a record may be published to the public database at asternullbyte.xyz/bans. Here is what that record can include: your Discord username, your user ID, the reason for the ban, and any submitted evidence that has been reviewed and cleared for publication.
Before anything goes public, evidence is reviewed. The following is always removed or anonymized before a record is published:
The intent here is accountability, not spectacle. The database exists so that other creators and community moderators have access to documented evidence when making their own decisions about who they want in their spaces. If your record is there, it is because an action was taken and documented, not because anyone is trying to make your life difficult.
Public ban records are public by design. If you are listed, that is the point. The evidence is there for anyone to read and evaluate for themselves.
Moderation logs are kept indefinitely. Removal of a public ban record is decided solely by me. Requests are taken seriously and handled in good faith, but approval is not guaranteed and the final call is mine alone.
If you believe a record about you is inaccurate, or you want to request removal, you can reach me directly at business@asternullbyte.xyz. Since people listed in the database are by definition banned from this server, that is the appropriate contact point rather than the ticket system.
Disagreeing with the outcome of a moderation action is not, on its own, grounds for removal. Requests are reviewed individually.
AsterOS operates on Discord's platform and sends notifications relating to Twitch activity. Their respective privacy policies govern data processed on their end. I have no control over what they do with data that passes through their systems.
